Enrollment FAQs
How does Method Schools flexible curriculum accommodate students joining and leaving at different times throughout the year?
We operate as a year-round school with open enrollment. Given the self-paced nature of our curriculum, students join and depart at various times throughout the year. Our data shows that students who stay with us for an extended period tend to excel academically. Therefore, we encourage all students to remain Method students for as long as possible, whether that means six weeks or six years. The key requirement is that they exclusively attend Method while enrolled with us.
What enrollment documents are required?
- Completed online enrollment form
- Birth Certificate or passport showing proof of age(required by State of California)
- Immunization records (required by State of California)
- Two separate proof of residency documents in the parent/guardian's name such as a bank statement (address only) or current bill (required by State of California)
- Students do not need to withdraw from their previous school if they are not actively attending another school while enrolled at Method.
How many courses can my student take?
- All high school courses at Method are worth 5 credits if completed.
- Method students are required to be enrolled in a minimum of10 credits at any given time.
- Students are provided with pacing guides that can guide the students to complete their courses in as little as 3 or 6 weeks.
- We advise not exceeding 15 credits within a 6-week timeframe.
- Students cannot exceed 5 credits of PE in a single semester.
What are the attendance requirements?
- Students are required to log in each school day but are not limited to logging in at specific times of the day. Teachers have daily open office hours should students have questions or need help.
- Students are required to attend one live homeroom meeting each week to check-in. (Day and times will be announced by your student’s teacher(s) before coursework begins).
